DPF Cleaning

How do I know the problem is with my DPF?

The first sign of problems with your DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) will be when the warning light below is shown on your dash board;

Your car will then try and run through its regeneration program. There a few different ways this can happen depending on the DPF fitted to your car.

If during the regeneration process your car doesn't clear the build up, it maybe because you were stuck in traffic or you couldn't maintain the rev's needed to aid regeneration. The next stage in the process is your car will go into limp home mode. This will reduce the power to your engine and in most cases turn off your turbo. You are likely to see the light’s below appear on the dash board.

This would normally mean two things which both involve taking your car to the main dealer. Firstly the main dealer would try force regeneration manually. This more often than not will fail and the only solution would be to have your DPF replaced. Currently this can cost anywhere in the region of £900 to £2500 dependent on the model and make of your car. Thankfully with our service the replacement DPF will not be necessary.

What cars can we clean?

We can clean the DPFs of the following brands of cars;
Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroen, Ford, Jaguar, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Vauxhall VW/Volkswagen.

How do we do it?

We inject cleaning agents into your DPF that reacts with the soot particles that have built up. The soot particles then combine with the cleaning agent. The soot then reacts with the cleaning agent and dissolves in the steam.

This flushes out your DPF and brings it back to almost new. We then access your ECU to force a regeneration. Your ECU then realise that the DPF is no longer blocked and takes the car out of limp home mode.
